Safe Environments Training
St. Michael Parish, along with the Diocese of Norwich, is committed to providing safe environments for children, young people, and adults. Safe Environments refers to environments that are created and maintained in an effort to provide all people with the safest possible place in which to minister, study, and work.
Volunteers and employees of St. Michael Church and St. Michael School must undergo Safe Environments training and a mandatory background screening, along with committing to adhering to the diocesan policies of conduct.
The Diocese of Norwich Office of Safe Environments webpage is dedicated to the practices that the diocese has adopted in order to maintain safe and secure parishes and schools. There are many resources on this webpage, including:
Email Anita Kapolowicz, Parish Secretary, for more information on the training. Thank you for your interest in maintaining a safe environment for St. Michael Parish and St. Michael School.
