Readings from Sacred Scripture for Wedding Ceremonies
All Catholic wedding ceremonies incorporate readings from Sacred Scripture. A couple preparing to marry should take the time to carefully choose these readings. This selection should include a reading from the Old Testament, a reading from the New Testament, and a passage from one of the Gospels.
At least one reading that explicitly speaks of Marriage must be chosen. These reading are designated with an asterisk (*).
